Brett Favre Retires, Really, Brett Favre is Retiring

Brett Favre is retiring from the Green Bay Packers and from NFL Football it’s true.  A sad day for football fans everywhere.  And, it’s no bluff this time.  Brett is really retiring.

He said he “could” physically continue to play and that he would be able to play if football only meant playing on Sundays, but it’s the practices during the week he has lost interest in.  Sorry Brett, no Sunday quarterbacks allowed.

If you’re a serious business owner, you know how Brett must feel.  Eventually, we all need to retire from the business we’re in.  Sometimes we have the option like Brett where we can just say goodbye and be gone from the spotlight in the blink of an eye.  But, most of the time, something else happens that forces us out of business; a divorce, death, lawsuits, health issues, age.

At The Capital Factor Spring Conference we have re-invited Mindy Smith to teach the audience how to value your business and plan for an exit strategy.  There are very few people who know how to do this right.  Checkout The Capital Factor coming April 5th and 6th, 2008 and I’ll leave this posting with a question:

“Do you think Brett Favre has REALLY retired or are we going to see the announcement in August that he’s pulled a Michael Jordan on us and is back in the game suddenly?”  Cast your vote in the comments area!

WOW! Btrett Favre is retiring. One of the true joys in life is to earn money doing somethingyou’re passionate about, that also makes a great contribution in the lives of others.

That is why I really like having a small business. Maybe after Brett Favre retires he will run a business as well.
